The production and processing of large-diameter pipes may follow different procedures depending on their final use. In particular, round and square pipes can be produced through welding, hot rolling or as seamless pipes. Welding itself can vary: electric resistance (ERW), submerged arc (SAW), spiral (Spirally Welded Pipes), or longitudinal (Longitudinally Welded Pipes).

TubiSteel Srl specializes in the production of large-diameter pipes with square or round cross-sections. These pipes are used across various sectors: agriculture, energy, pharmaceuticals, and chemicals—and in critical facilities such as nuclear plants, extraction sites and refineries.

After production, pipes can undergo one or more finishing processes: satin finishing, polishing, pickling, weld bead removal, and passivation.

The production process includes several steps: beveling the plate edges for welding, shaping into a cylindrical form, and executing internal and external welds with specific machines. Welding is verified through ultrasonic testing to detect defects, and further examined by X-ray when needed.

Finally, specific magnetic powders and hydraulic pressure tests ensure each detail of the large-diameter pipes meets the highest quality standards.
